Accuracy is a Must for Successful Medical Billing Collections

I am a medical practice manager in Colorado Springs, CO and I am highly involved in the office billing. We have, in fact, improved our collection time over the past few years, which can only be attributed to the consistent accuracy of our current billing.

Everything is double-checked; clean claims in many cases must be paid in less than 30 days. UNclean claims (wrong form, bad information, missing diagnoses, etc.) automatically have NINETY days to pay.

Also, it is good to turn incorrect payments right around by way of appeal; I have found that the sooner the payment error is pointed out, the faster the funds will be paid to us.
