Its shocking to see how people are taken advantage of everyday for the money in their accounts. Debt collection has been known as to be a lucrative business with people calling your house, and even cases of collectors coming to your door.
Lewis, in the article, describes your typical experience with these collectors. He was inclined to unplug his phone at one point to avoid the harassing collectors. Many of these collectors have also been shown to be fake as described through the article.
Some of these collectors pretend to be associated with your current debt only to be found to be taking advantage of your situation. The article described how 7,964 complaints were filed with the NCO over such terms, I can personally say myself I have left a complaint about an abusing credit company.
