Criticism of Debt of Debt Collection

I understand that every collection agency has a job to do. I understand that collecting debt is how your company gets paid and in turn pays its employees for the trouble of dealing with numerous irate customers or clients or cases.
One reason I have insight into this understanding is that my fiance works for a collection agency. Not only does my fiance work for an agency, but her agency picked up some of my debt. So you can imagine my predicament.
The big issue I have with agencies trying to collect my debt is the phone calls. The phone calls always seem to come to my cell phone, which I have to pay for the minutes used, thereby costing more money which makes me even more irritated and in most cases I hang up.
Another thing about the phone calls that bothers me is the timing. The phone always seems to ring late at night here lately, sometimes even as late as 10pm, which I think is ridiculous, especially if I am asleep. If I get awakened up by a debt collector when I am trying to get rest for the next days' work, you can count on me hanging up and not corresponding with your agents to accomplish anything.
So I guess what I am getting at is my main issue is the phone calls not that you shouldn't call at all just to get better timing.
