Debt Collection Is A Bust.

Honestly, my biggest problem with collection agencies is that they are so rude and impersonal. I personally speak English, and nothing in the world makes me more upset than to have someone I can not understand ask me for money, and not know what bill they are calling about.
Recently I was in an accident that caused me to be in a wheel chair. Why can't anyone understand that I can't work and make money to pay the hospital bills at this time. Give me a few months, show some compassion.
I guess what I'm trying to say is this: not everyone is just trying to skip out on a bill. Try to be a little understanding, and if someone isn't paying a bill because they can't afford $80.00 a month, offer them a payment plan of less. Stop bullying people and you may get better results.
As a debt collector, you need to be friendly and kind, not pushy and ignorant. In understanding that you need to do your job, understand as well, there are some people that would love nothing better than to be able to pay off all their bills and never hear your voice again.
When you get your assignments, ask the company if there are any payment arrangements you can offer. Maybe a cut in the price if paid off sooner, in cases like mine, when someone can’t work for a while, allow them time to get back on their feet.
