My Thoughts on Collection Tactics and Your A+ Company!

This is a very informative website, and I found the information well presented and TRUE! I have had several experiences with collection agencies, one of them being on a past due cell phone bill.
The company violated many fair debt collection practices, including calling me MULTIPLE (one time almost 20) times per day. To be quite honest it was a mistake that I didn’t pay my bill.
I called the cellular provider and let them know that the company that was working collections for them was awful, and violating laws. Their response “we don’t know anything about it!”.
Instead of paying it I ended up canceling service with that cell provider- I felt that if they would employ a collection company that used harassing and criminal principles, they didn’t deserve my business. I paid to terminate my contract early and sent complaints to the BBB and FTC.
I think it is fabulous your consultants provide education and information. So many people who fall behind on bill payment WANT to pay- but as you mentioned, they are in unforeseen circumstances. Learning is key, and how to overcome the problem will lead to the solution- NOT being harassed!
Owning a small business that will be needing collection services, I think it is wonderful that your company operates with integrity- something the industry is majorly lacking! I would never think to hire just “any” collection agency, because I value ALL customers and their repeat business, and want a company to assist me that actually has morals and a backbone.
I want my customers educated, not harassed. I don’t want to have to worry about my debt collection company using illegal tactics. I’m VERY happy with the positive approach your company uses. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
