After reading about Ms. Schwarzentraub above, I'd like to say that these companies need to be managed and/or moderated by someone other than their own people. The truth is that even the government doesn't always get the job done and it is only when someone stands up and stands out that changes get made.
Every American needs to know that, after all is said and done, they must take charge at times to prevent abuses and corruption. If we all understood this simple fact of life, we would begin to make government smaller and limit it's authority (or lack of authority) to what it is designed to do.
When you ask a government to do something it isn't set up to do, suddenly you have a bunch of people running around protecting their job and not accomplishing anything of real value.
It's very simple to say, "they shouldn't do this or that." Actually, they don't care whether you like them or not. And they don't care if they mess up your job, ruin your social life or trash your family life. All they want is money.
The government (supposedly providing oversight) often turns a blind eye and a deaf ear if it doesn't suit their needs or purposes to provide assistance.
In essence, what this means is a government with to much (or too little) power is no better than none at all.
