Slash Your Medical Bills:
7 Ways to Haggle- A Platform for Consumer Reform!

With the economy in such a precarious standing it’s no wonder that we need health care reform. Companies are cutting costs and jobs left and right but Americans still need medical services and care.

This particular article “Slash Your Medical Bills: 7 Ways to Haggle”, may not solve our skyrocketing medical bills, but it is a platform, a starting point, for patients to begin their own health care reform.

The article introduces several techniques on approaching billers, and providers alike to see if some kind of compromise can be reached. It’s a matter of putting one’s pride aside to see what kind of break you can get.

I would caution patients to be aware that these providers are running a business, and in the end they're all about making a profit. They may cut you a discount but don’t count on too deep a discount. In these difficult times its not just the people that are suffering financially, many businesses are too.

Insurance companies and medical practices have long been touted as a lucrative industry. They charge whatever they can because we simply need these services and can’t get by without them. Hopefully some of these approaches will help consumers in getting the services they need without going any further in debt than they have to.
