We disagree with any illegal, unscrupulous and unethical behavior on the part of ANY collection agency. And any federal and/or state laws that are enacted to protect consumers from such practices is a very good thing.

No matter the state of the economy, collection agencies have the tools and resources, and should do all in their power, and acting in due diligence to ensure that they're contacting the right people who actually owe the debts.
