Successful Debt Collection Technique

The debt collection technique we have used at our advertising agency is simple -- we ask for the money! We start calling clients after 30 days.
We talk about jobs we have worked on together to establish our connection and then ask about any outstanding bills. Since the client sometimes has mislaid the bill or just forgotten, we make sure that they have the bill.
If the bill is later than that, we start calling weekly to remind the client that we need payment. The trick to this debt collection technique is to make sure that you call!
Remember that you have offered a service and you should get paid. Don’t leave money on the table just because you are reluctant to ask for it.
